Sodexo Prestige has become the first catering company to sign up to the 2012 UK Events Industry Fair Pricing & Practise Charter, created by the London Development Group as part of the capitals plans to create business value around the 2012 Olympic Games. The addition of Sodexo Prestige will make some of the UK’s most well known venues and events more accessible to Olympic event planners. Some of the key venues will include British institutions such as HMS Belfast and Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms. “We’re delighted to have the collective support of Sodexo Prestige and its venues,” comments David Sharpe, managing director of The London Eye and Head of the 2012 Development Group. “Their involvement highlights the importance of fair pricing and practice in the lead up to and during the games.” “We believe it is our responsibility, as a high profile brand within the events industry, to support the 2012 Fair Pricing Policy across our venue portfolio and are delighted to be the first group to collectively register,” commented Chris John, managing director, Sodexo Prestige.
