Prestige and Everton FC will be celebrating this morning, after netting the Stadia Award at last night’s Cost Sector Catering Awards ceremony at London’s Hilton Metropole hotel. Beating Compass Group at Reading FC’s Madejski Stadium and the Lindley Group at Sunderland FC’s Stadium of Light to the trophy, Prestige was recognised for the innovation and excellence of its food offer at the Goodison Park ground; from executive boxes, boardrooms and hospitality lounges to the concourse catering it provides on match days. Led by operations director, Andrew James and supported by head chef Gareth Billington, the Prestige team at the stadium is formed by a core group of 20 managers and staff and up to 500 employees on match days, including up to 40 managers on site with over 30 chefs. Counting a 23% increase in non-match day conference and banqueting sales in the first two years of operating the contract as one of its key achievements, the team’s knowledge of the regional market, combined with its work with local government and businesses, is a winning formula that continues to keep this famous venue firmly on the UK’s hospitality map.
