With an impressive new concept stand for 2010 Confex, Sodexo Prestige will be showcasing its collection of 46 venues throughout the country.  The stand has been designed by Objective and features an impressive pod shaped design and break out areas.   A barista will be on hand to offer a cup of freshly ground, triple certified coffee to visitors on the Sodexo Prestige stand.

The 45 venues include old favourites such as Blenheim Palace with its imposing architecture and impressive historical credentials and Ascot Racecourse which was redeveloped in 2008.   Great North Museum: Hancock and Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh are new additions to the portfolio.   The Great North Museum: Hancock is a stunning new conference and event  museum space in the heart of Newcastle which features an exhibition space of almost  500 sq meters, the Clore Learning Centre for  and receptions, café areas for evening entertainment and a Planetarium.  The  Royal opening of the museum was a highlight on the North East of England's calendar in 2009.  The £26 million building showcases the wonder and diversity of the natural world, spectacular objects from Ancient Greece, mummies from Ancient Egypt, a planetarium and a life-size T-Rex dinosaur skeleton. It also includes a large-scale interactive model of Hadrian's Wall, northern England's spectacular Roman frontier.

In the end of 2009 The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh  unveiled  new John Hope Gateway visitor centre as part of a £15.7 million development project  which has been designed according to principles of green construction and sustainability. With the materials used, energy saving measures and renewable energy production, The John Hope Gateway is an excellent demonstration site for promoting sustainability and includes many features such as a biomass boiler, rain water harvesting, a wind turbine, solar collectors and panels.    The new 120 seat visitor restaurant provides a new exclusive and versatile corporate or private venue, perfect for weddings and conferences for up to 190 guests. 

2010 is a big year for HMS Belfast.  Following an investment by Sodexo Prestige of £250,000, HMS Belfast has undergone an intensive restoration and refurbishment programme.  This restoration and modernisation programme has brought together technology, location, convenience and character to the London events market.  The Admiral’s Quarters is an exclusive private dining room and conference space and HMS Belfast has wonderful views over The Thames.  72 years after its original launch on 17th March 1938, HMS Belfast is hosting an exclusive event to celebrate the restoration of the event spaces as well as works done throughout the ship on 17th May 2010 further reinforcing its place on the banks of the Thames as an iconic and unique events venue in London. 

The Prestige Experience hospitality team will also be on hand to promote corporate hospitality at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May.  Undoubtedly unique and undeniably wonderful, each year the RHS Chelsea Flower Show heralds the start of the summer season amidst a blaze of colour and exceptional exhibits. Visitors can be the first to admire exquisite new plants, buy the latest garden innovations, tools and accessories and socialise with like-minded people while enjoying the superior hospitality at this prestigious, world-class flower show.

This year The Open Championship celebrates its 150th anniversary. To mark this historic occasion, The Official Hospitality team are ensuring the championship is equally remembered as a celebration of Scottish food, hospitality and produce.   The game’s greatest championship returns to The Old Course, St Andrews, ‘The Home of Golf in 2010 where The Open Championship Official Hospitality will reveal a unique programme of events to celebrate The Championship’s anniversary. The events will be hosted by the Official Hospitality Ambassador, the golfing legend and past Open Champion Tony Jacklin.
