NOW MURRAYFIELD IS LICENSED TO THRILL

…and Father Christmas drops in to pick up a programme

Summer fruits may still be on the trees and autumn's mellow shades are only beginning to touch the landscape – but already the man who puts the ho-ho-ho into Christmas has arrived at Murrayfield, the home of Scottish Rugby.

The bearded bringer of good cheer abandoned sledge and reindeer when he abseiled into the 67,800-seater stadium to learn more about the plans to fill Murryfield with laughter during Christmas and New Year.

As the stadium continues to develop and expand its role as a conference, banqueting and entertainment venue, plans for nights themed around the world renowned James Bond have been announced.

Scottish Rugby, owner of Murryfield, has linked up with banqueting and hospitality provider Prestige Scotland, to increase the use of the stadium for non-match day events with Christmas and New Year parties are top of the new agenda…

There are 007 themed lunches available on 20, 21 and 22 December with vodka martini cocktails and a 'Thunderball' disco.   Fancy dress is being encouraged with prizes for the best look-alikes.   The Bond themed party nights are available on most Wednesdays, Thursdays, Friday and Saturdays during December.

Because of the sheer size of the Murrayfield stadium, one of the biggest venues for events in the east of Scotland, an alternative Christmas party night will be running on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday during December.   It focuses on dance through the decades and the DJ has carefully selected his tunes to suit everyone from the jive bunny to the disco diva.
